Meet the director
Dr Belinda Shepherd is an occupational therapist with over 24 years clinical experience. She has worked in both the health and private sectors, specialising in the provision of rehabilitation services for people following catastrophic injuries including acquired and traumatic brain injury, complex orthopaedic injury and spinal injury.
Belinda holds appointments with the Motor Accident Authority of New South Wales as a Medical Assessor and Review Medical Assessor, Life Time Care and Support Authority as an Independent Care Needs Assessor and the New South Wales Public Trustee and Guardian as an Authorised Visitor. Each of these appointments recognises Belinda’s specialist skills and ability to provide independent assessments of client’s abilities and social situations.
Belinda specialises in providing case management, occupational therapy and medico legal assessment. She is committed to professional development and is an accredited occupational therapist and member of the Australian Association of Occupational Therapy.
Belinda is committed to research and regularly presents papers at Peer reviewed National and State Conferences. She has lectured at the University of Sydney and completed her PhD which focused on the process of decision making used by Residential Care Staff in transitional living environments (brain injury).
